16×20×1.5 inch Mixed Media on birchwood panel.
I must admit that each spring I begin painting tulips before they even emerge from the ground, in anticipation of their arrival. They carry a quiet promise of new beginnings as the earth thaws and the plans I’ve held through winter begin to take shape. For me, tulips symbolize the act of building a life with long-term intentions—becoming who you have not yet grown into.
