The title of this piece was inspired by Brianna Wiest’s The Mountain Is You, in a passage on transformation—about letting go of what was built for who you once were, stepping beyond old comforts, and releasing what keeps you stagnant… so that you can be loved, truly seen, and deeply understood for who you are now.
This is one of my Tulip Series of 2025 ArtPrize pieces proudly exhibited at Periwinkle Fog, located in the bright and welcoming atrium of the Ledyard building in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
